Regional Skill Development Courses

Every Autum the Regional Team meets and decides which SDC's have been requested by regional members for the following year and which had a good attendance in the preceding year. This need is then matched against the instructors available on the island and the options for inviting instructors from the mainland.

Unfortunately there was very little uptake on the SDC's offered in 2007 and many were then cancelled. The regional team has reduced the overall number of SDC's and included more technical courses (ERD and MGB).

Based on this input, courses are scheduled predominantely for the early and later months of the year to give everyone as much time as possible to go diving in the summer months.

If your branch would like a specific course run, or has identified any other training needs it can not meet within the branch, please contact us, the regional team! We are here to help!

Please contact 4 weeks before the event (latest) if you want to participate in any of the SDC's. If there is an insufficient number of participants the the SDC will be cancelled.
